Catalog Design

Project Overview

Build a catalog that shows off the current products available.  This requires coordination with the Marketing Team, the Sales Team, the Product Development Team, and others in the Graphic Design Department.  

My Role

So I have worked on a few of these over the years and I have chosen to highlight my favorite one.  

For this particular project I was added to the team late.  The marketing team had already started on a number of catalogs for the different divisions but realized they could not get it all done by themselves.  At this time I was no longer assigned to the marketing department, so they asked me if I could help them out this project.  They gave me a list of products and the master design layouts they had developed for that years catalogs and the rest was on me.  I selected images from our library of photography, gathered copy text from the sales team, and pulled all of the legal and product info from product development.  

Normally this is all done over several months due the amount of coordination required from multiple departments.  I only had about a month do finish this project though.  It was many long days, more photo editing than I care to think about, and lots and lots of edits from every department involved.  Still managed to complete everything and made the deadline.  It was a lot of work and effort but I think that is why it became my favorite catalog I ever worked on.
